Your First Client in 5 Minutes

Welcome to ClientFlow! This tutorial will walk you through adding your first client to the system. By the end, you'll have created a complete client profile and be ready to start tracking payments.

Step 1: Navigate to the Clients Page

From your dashboard, click on the Clients tab in the left sidebar. This is your central hub for managing all client information.

Pro Tip: Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open the quick navigation menu and jump directly to the Clients page.

Step 2: Click "Add Client"

On the Clients page, look for the blue "Add Client" button in the top right corner. Click it to open the client creation form.

The form will slide in from the right side of your screen, showing all the fields you can fill in.

Step 3: Fill in Basic Information

Start with the essential details:

  1. Name: Enter your client's full name (e.g., "John Smith")
  2. Email: Add their email address for payment reminders
  3. Phone: Include their phone number for WhatsApp notifications
  4. Payment Day: Set when payments are due each month (1-31)
Pro Tip: Setting the payment day correctly ensures automatic reminders are sent on time. Most clients prefer the 1st or 15th of the month.

Step 4: Add Optional Details

Enhance your client profile with additional information:

  • Tags: Categorize clients (e.g., "Premium", "New", "Monthly")
  • Notes: Add session notes, preferences, or special instructions
  • Custom Fields: Industry-specific data (available on Starter+ plans)

These details help you stay organized and provide better service.

Step 5: Save and Confirm

Once you've filled in the necessary information:

  1. Click the green "Save Client" button at the bottom
  2. You'll see a success message confirming the client was added
  3. The client will now appear in your Clients list

Congratulations! You've added your first client to ClientFlow.
