Move around ClientFlow without reaching for the mouse. This guide lists the shortcuts the app actually has. Press ? anywhere in the dashboard (outside a text box) to see the main ones in a pop-up.

Pro Tip: Learn 3 shortcuts per week. Too many at once = overwhelm and reversion to mouse. Gradual adoption = permanent habits.

Press g, then the letter.

Browsers reserve a few of these chords for themselves (a new tab or window, for example). Where your browser keeps the chord, use the command palette instead.

Tasks Page Shortcuts

On the Tasks page, single keys work as long as you are not typing in a text box.

WhatsApp Inbox and Send Queue

The shortcuts pop-up (?) lists /, J/K, Enter and E under Lists and names, under each one, the screens where it works; none of them works everywhere. / works on Tasks and the WhatsApp inbox. J/K work on Tasks (above), the WhatsApp inbox and the send queue (below). Enter works on the WhatsApp inbox, the send queue and the notes list (where you move with the arrow keys), but not on the Tasks list, where E opens the focused task.

Quick Search & Command Palette

Press Cmd/Ctrl + K, then start typing. The palette does two jobs:

  • Find your records: type at least two characters and it searches your clients, payments, tasks, appointments, notes and WhatsApp messages. Pick a result to jump straight to it.
  • Run a command: go to any page, or start a new client, payment, appointment, invoice, estimate or expense.
  • Change the display: switch between light and dark mode, or between compact and comfortable spacing.

Quick-Add Shorthand for Tasks

When you add a task with the quick-add box (including the one that opens with Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + N), you can type shorthand into the title. It is removed from the title and applied to the task:

TypeResult
@todayDue today
@tomorrowDue tomorrow
@nextweekDue 7 days from today
@monday ... @sundayDue on the next such weekday
!1 or !highHigh priority
!2 or !mediumMedium priority
!3 or !lowLow priority

For example, Call Ayse about her plan @tomorrow !1 creates a high-priority task due tomorrow. The day words also work in Turkish, German, French and Spanish (for example @yarın for tomorrow).

Pro Tip: Type "@tomorrow" in the title instead of opening the date picker and clicking through the calendar.
