Sending Your First Payment Reminder

Learn how to send automatic payment reminders via WhatsApp or email. This tutorial will help you set up and send your first reminder in just a few minutes.

Introduction

Payment reminders help you get paid on time without awkward conversations. ClientFlow can automatically send reminders via WhatsApp or email based on your schedule.

Step 1: Navigate to Payments

From your dashboard, click on Payments in the left sidebar. This shows all payments for your clients, both paid and unpaid.

Pro Tip: Use the filter buttons at the top to show only "Unpaid" payments - these are the ones that need reminders.

Step 2: Select a Payment to Remind

Find a payment that's due or overdue. You'll see it highlighted in amber (due soon) or red (overdue). Click on the payment row to open the details panel.

Step 3: Click "Send Reminder"

In the payment details panel, look for the "Send Reminder" button. Click it to open the reminder configuration dialog.

The reminder form will show a pre-filled template with:

You can customize the message if needed, but the default template works great for most cases.

Pro Tip: Keep messages friendly and professional. Include a way for clients to pay (bank transfer details, payment link, etc.)

Step 5: Send the Reminder

Once you're happy with the message:

  1. Click the blue "Send Now" button
  2. You'll see a success message
  3. The reminder is sent immediately
  4. A log entry is created in the payment history

The client will receive the reminder within seconds!
