Sending Your First Payment Reminder
Learn how to send automatic payment reminders via WhatsApp or email. This tutorial will help you set up and send your first reminder in just a few minutes.
Introduction
Payment reminders help you get paid on time without awkward conversations. ClientFlow can automatically send reminders via WhatsApp or email based on your schedule.
Step 1: Navigate to Payments
From your dashboard, click on Payments in the left sidebar. This shows all payments for your clients, both paid and unpaid.
Step 2: Select a Payment to Remind
Find a payment that's due or overdue. You'll see it highlighted in amber (due soon) or red (overdue). Click on the payment row to open the details panel.
Step 3: Click "Send Reminder"
In the payment details panel, look for the "Send Reminder" button. Click it to open the reminder configuration dialog.
You'll see options for:
- WhatsApp - Fastest and highest open rate
- Email - Professional and detailed
- Both - Maximum coverage (PRO tier only)
Step 4: Customize the Message
The reminder form will show a pre-filled template with:
- Client's name
- Payment amount
- Due date
- Your business name
You can customize the message if needed, but the default template works great for most cases.
Step 5: Send the Reminder
Once you're happy with the message:
- Click the blue "Send Now" button
- You'll see a success message
- The reminder is sent immediately
- A log entry is created in the payment history
The client will receive the reminder within seconds!
Next Steps
Now that you've sent your first manual reminder, you can:
- Set up automatic reminders - Configure daily reminder schedules
